When you have one or two giant customers who are paying your mortgage – they basically have you at their beck-and-call. Avoid the allure of big money from one or two big customers. What at first seems like a win later turn out to be golden handcuffs. Shoot for a larger number of small customers.
It may be more work and hustle up front, but as they years go by you’ll be very glad to have the more tenable situation. Big wins are awesome and elating but with many smaller customers you can sleep lake a baby, enjoy your life and family, and generally enjoy success without the constant worry of losing that one big fish. So remember, one giant breakfast can be delicious, but a variety of a dozen donuts can be more fun.
